What if the life of Christ had been documented by ESPN or CNN? How would the news headlines read? What would the highlight reel look like? What would the analysts argue about? Who would be the saints? Who would be the sinners? Who would be the heroes? Who would be the villains? Explore the life of Christ and teach through the gospels in high definition.
The TABLE sermon series theme: HD 1080 motion graphics. Worship backgrounds. PDF exterior shell for church bulletins. I will feast at the table of the Lord (Chris Tomlin).
Use this retro theme to teach on the timeless principles of God’s Kingdom, the inclusiveness of His Great Invitation, the core values of your church, or other biblical themes.
The Bible has many very important ‘buts’ in it. A big ‘but’ can change everything. Here are some of them: Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Gladiators sermon theme: Like the ancient Roman gladiators, we don’t get to choose the arenas we fight in, but we do get to choose how we will fight, and to what honor we will uphold. We don’t get to choose the circumstances in our lives, but we do get to choose how we will respond to them.
Use this theme to outline the different cages in life that keep us from enjoying the abundant life that God not only wants for us, but that Jesus died to give us.
Use this theme as a backdrop for teaching through the book of Hosea. Hosea prophesied during a dark era of Israel’s history. Hosea was directed by God to marry a promiscuous woman of ill-repute in order to demonstrate God’s unfailing love for Israel. For Hosea, being consumed by God’s love meant doing some uncomfortable things. Sometimes love stinks. It calls us out of our comfort zone and into a life of loving the unlovable.
“Authentic Christianity” sermon theme: What does authentic Christianity look like? What are the marks of a genuine follower of Jesus Christ?
Teach through the book of Acts with the “Band of Believers” theme. The book of Acts gives the history of the Christian church and the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as the mounting opposition to it. It’s an account of ordinary and common people who witnessed extraordinary things as they bound their hearts together with a single purpose.
The Great Commission wasn’t the Good Suggestion. The Church is here to GO into the world, not wait for the world to come to us. God has chosen us to be a small part of His larger narrative in the world. But small doesn’t imply insignificant. Nobody can tell your story. Nobody can fill your shoes. GO!
